--le,
Have you tried making a afghan using a Q hook. They work up quick and easy and maybe this will get you motivated again.

I like anything I can finish within a year -- or 2 -- or 3...*smile* Some of my projects are that old. The only old one i really want to finish is an afghan for my brother. I have 2 brothers and the other one got an afghan. My younger brother I know wants his, but I'm only half done. Someone please motivate me. I am afraid the yarn has been either packed away somewhere or lost in a move.
But I love starting new projects, and the short-term ones, like soap making or plastic canvas or macrame, get done.
But I have had a lot of trouble with beading -- with the little seed beads that is. My hands are just a little gnarled up from pushing my wheelchair for the past few decades. It's awful -- I took out my flute one day a few months ago, which I used to be able to play, but I couldn't even get my fingers in the starting position. Piano is the same. So when I go to grab onto those seed beads, between my fingers and my lack of vision, I invariably end up with beads all over the floor. *aaaaaagh*
I like any new project that comes up.
So keep brainstorming.
Hugs.

No affence anyone, but I like crafts that are not messy and can go where
ever I go. I take my crafts to work, every day. Just to day, I took on the
chalange, to see if I could knit on the shuddle bus to main campus. When my
husband was with me, a lot of the time, I would work on my plastic canvis in
the car. I think Laurie has said she takes her beading with her. I can not
imagine doing that yet. To many pieces to keep track of.
Looking forward to convention and being to show off my work.
A friend at work, helped me start a portfolio of pictures of my work. I had
already started a tactual one.
Since I will not be here on Friday, I want to start a new question.
This subject came up The Monday before you started on the last dish cloth.
How do you come up with new ideas or designs?
What started this is, I was telling everyone about a new shower kertin I had
gotten. It is a sea design and each picture is in a frame. Each frame is
not stacked, but like in a zig, zag design. If you look at one picture and
move strait up you are seeing the edges of 2 and a gap where they connect.
I had done a design with just squares, then I added, what I call, criss
cross lines, like the lines of graph paper. So why not make the squares
like on the kertin. I would call them zig, zag squares with seperating
lines. I am also going to do it with out the lines. Different sized
squares need to be used to make this balance out.
I am also working on making a ripple design. I thought of that a long time
ago, but never took on the chalange.
I got half of one side of an eye glass case done, so far.
Sure is pretty, in royal and periwinkle.

Hi Lynda, it sounds like you do well with the pottery. I've never used a
potter's wheel if that's what it's called. I sure would like to try though.
