Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen tornado crimps. I'll have to check them out. I have trouble explaining how I do something. People have asked me to teach beading techniques, and I always feel self-conscious because I can picture something in my head, but it's really hard for me to explain it into words.

Warm regards,

I have had a few requests on how to use a crimping tool so perhaps we can
make that an upcoming class for august. I use a pair of regular chain nose
pliers to attach crimps, jump rings, clasps, split rings, etc. There is a
crimp on the market that is really good for one who uses chain nose pliers.
it is called the tornado crimp and it is easy for blind people to feel where
the jaws of the plier are going when you close them around the crimp bead
and it makes a nice smooth edge around the crimp bead and doesn't flatten
the bead out so it looks clean and professional looking. The othe
raccessible tool I use if you haven't discovered them is a Big Eye Needle.
Basically, they look like 2 strands of wire soldared together at both ends
and the middle seperates. You insert your thread, push the n thread down
into the end of the needle and allow the needle to close. I have used them
successfully on multiple passes through size 6 8 9 10 11 delicas and
sometimes 15 charlotts but not very much. .
