Hi Sahar,
Well, not only did I do a bit of encrusted beadworking this morning with
fabulous results, I also did my first crimp in 2 1/2 years! I started with
the encrusted beadwork piece, had to ear out a couple or three times, but
then got it going and I am so thrilled.
Then, after that success, I tore apart a necklace I had strung, and started
it over again. And, I did a practice crimp and it was ok, then I went ahead
and did the clasp. I had my husband check it over, and he said it looks very
good.
When my daughter in KY called me this afternoon and asked me what I was
doing, she was thrilled when I told her. She is the one who was doing my
clasps. I would have to wait and wait until we either went to KY or she came
to PA...months in between, to get my clasps done.
Yes, you can surely do "capterued cabachons" if you do everything else as
you do. It will be very easy for you. The neckpiece I am doing has 10 on
it. It is a medieval style neckpiece. Now, I know I can do this again. It
is not easy for me at all, and I sweat my way through it. (smile)
Yes, I have had a studio since 1976. Art has been the center piece of my
life. I was a painter/printmaker/weaver. I started the beadworking about 7
years ago when I joined the Obsessive Compulsive Beadworkers of
PA...serious, serious beadworking women! In the Pittsburgh, PA area. I just
might be able to be a part of that group again in the future. Lynda
