Thanks for the encouragement, Joyce. I got up early this morning so I could 
dig into my project! I just got my Fireline threaded through the needle, and 
am about to begin. I am sooooo excited.

BTW, here is a hint for  anyone who is thinking of bead embroidery, use 
Fireline for your "thread." It is sold at Walmart and at Dick's Sporting 
Goods, it is a FISHING line, very thin, but very strong. When you use it, 
believe me, those beads are never going to break off of that surface! I also 
use size 12 English Needles, and seed beads of various sizes.
