[Nfb-krafters-korner] beads and festivals Linda

Laughing, Lynda, oh, but you have such a great attitude about the whole thing. Well, at least it comes across as you just took it as it came. I wish I could do that. I might get to live a longer life. I stress out about everything. I don't let things just fall as they may. I come from a family of high strung people. I was trying to figure out why I was so high-strung until last summer when I went home. I saw my mother, love her to pieces, and I realized--wow! Amazing ... I was just like her. Now, I have a choice to change that, but boy! That's far easier said than done. Mom always stresses out about everything, and for all of the seven weeks I was gone, I was stressed, stressed, stressed! I didn't know how to turn it around. So, the wind picked up your tent, you stress in the moment, and you move on, looking at the positive instead of the negative. I am hoping I'll get there some day. *smile* I am glad you had good sales, even without those plastic swords made in China. *laughing*

Warm regards,
Sahar Husseini

  Hello Sahar,
I thought of you today as I was at the Crestfest. The day here had some
gusts of wind, too. At one point the entire tent was picked up by a gust,
and several people grabbed it as it was about to be picked up and taken
away. The entire tent was moved by about two feet, and we had to readjust
everything. It seemed all day like it would storm, and finally by 3 pm we
packed up and left. The festival was to run till 6 pm, but most were
leaving. We got packed up and pulled out of ther just before the storm hit.

Doing arts festivals is rugged work, and you face all kinds of challenges
from the weather. We had a great time, though, and sold more than we had
expected, but it was lots of small sales, nothing big. Our displays were
constantly being blown over, but we have nothings as big or heavy as the
  wagon wheel you have. (laugh)
That is typical of outdoor shows. The indoor ones in the fall are much
better for selling the higher priced things. We did have fun visiting with
other friends who were there selling, too. And, a couple of folks who know
me came out to see us, too.

If only I had some of thos plastic swords, I am sure we could have done much
  better sales. (laughing a lot).
