Glad you said that.  The message I saw yesterday about using a needle with wire, sounded strange.  It would put bends in your wire and you do not want that.  Wire is strong enough to go directly into a hole of a bead.  In my opinion, its end is like the tip of a needle.
I have been admiring bracelets in my gift shop, at work, to get some ideas.

I just use the wire--no needle.  When I first started, I thought I had to use needles, and I was thrilled to know I didn't have to.  *grin*  Wow, that was a lifetime ago.  I don't know where time goes.
