[Nfb-krafters-korner] Braille was RE: needles

I use a braille label maker. It has a wheel with the alphabet and a few other symbols, a slot for the dimo tape and the ability to cut the tape. You turn the wheel and aline the symbol you want up with a slot on the machine and press the handle and bingo, you have a braille letter. The way it cuts the tape, makes it easy to peal off the tape on the back.
After convention, I want to make labels that I can reuse on food and meds.
I am living alone and have no way of identifying food accept by guess and color of bag or container.
This is a new ball game for me and I have not found the right method yet. These high tech devices are just as complicated as just braille. Right now a friend identifies my meds for me. They are to alike for me to identify, now I changed to janeric.

Hi Laura,

I use a whole sheet of laminating paper to write my labels. Then I cut them off the page. That is easier then trying to braille on a small piece.

I also have an adapter to put on the braille writer that holds just a row of tape. Then you can run the dimo tape through the adapter and write as many labels as you iwsh. They can be cut after removing them from the adapter.
