Cindy,
When we had our first table in Convention Hall in Dallas I spent several months ahead of time trying to get Lion Brand to recognize our group/organization with either a speaker, demostrator or products for our table to show we supported and purchased their merchandise. I never received so much as a return phone call or acknowledgement. Believe me, I tried!
The only vendor that responded after I made constant daily calls, was Provo crafts. Maker of the Nifty Knitters and Needle felting products. They sent the latest Needle Felting products (so new they had to take them off the showroom wall)  that weren't even on the market. I've demostrated those products that year and every year I've attended convention. During my demostrations, I recommended their products and even sent them pictures of our table thanking them for their support and cooperation so that they knew we acknowledge what they sent. Some of the calls I had to make to obtain Provo products were overseas to people I couldn't even converse with because of a language barrier. So I've tried.
Most companies won't give items out anymore, even if you are promoting their products--they want you to purchase them. This is so wrong and it really literally wore me out. But if anyone else can make head way, by all means go for it!

That is great. Lion Brand allows you to download patterns in either braille or large print, too.

I think it would be great if we somehow recognized them at one of our national conventions for providing this service.
