I have used Pringles cans for knitting needles and paint brushes. The Pringle Cans work great!

I have an array of tote bags. We sold grocery tote bags that were
recycled 100% cotton and our chapter had whose it printed on them. We found a
place up in NH or maybe it was VT that consisted of woman employees and we
ordered the bags from them. They did not have a zipper, but would fit a
couple of grocery paper bags in it and would tote plenty of crafting stuff.
Now for large projects let me tell you what I use. In K Mart they sell
plastic compacter bags. These are really heavy llarge special plastic bags
made for garbage compacters. I use to have one of these when my kids were
growing up. It crushes the garbage down and believe me when I had the 3
foster kids and my own 3 kids we really put this thing to work. Sears has the
paper compacter bags that have the plastic lining, but for toting things
around the plastic ones are good. I could fold up a qquilt [any size
including the queen or king] and there would be plenty of room for the wooden
hoop and anything else I needed. It does not have a handle on it, but you
could improvise .
I have wondered about the knitting needle holders that they are selling out
there, but only have read about them and would like tto be able to feel
one before I buy one to check it out.
I am going to Keepsake Quilting Shop in May and they have the yarn shop
next door, so I hope to be able to check it out if they have one there. In
April [April 15] my girl friend is taking me up to Web's and Yankee Candle
Factory in MA! I have been to Web's Yarn Warehouse/Shop, but never went
to Yankee Candle Factory before.
