I wish you gave more examples of colors so others could have a clearer idea 
 of what you are talking about.  
 
When I first posted this question going back around 2 years ago, it really  
surprised me on the folks on the list at that time their replies and  
comments.  I remember someone that had been blind since birth and never had  seen 
colors say, her favorite colors were yellow and red.  Yellow because  it 
was warm and red because it was bright.  Very interesting for everyone's  
interpretation of color for those of us who work off memory, some sight and have 
 never seen.
