It is easy to knit or crochet gift bags. My former daughter in law collects
shot glasses. I have two for her for Christmas. First measure the glasses
separately. These two are different sizes. I will measure the glasses and
add an inch for length. Then find the yarn I want to use. This sparkly
yarn is stretchy. Even if I goof up it will fit the smaller glass.

Since I hate to disturb anyone and get the glass, smile, I will just guess
four inches wide and four inches deep. If I would use a thicker less
stretchy yarn, I would definitely add at least two inches.

By the way gang, if I am off base, correct me. I am still learning, hugs.

Ok, knit or crochet a piece that is four inches wide and eight inches long,
all fingers pointing at myself. Now add the extra inch, or if the yarn is
thick, two inches. I have already wrapped the piece around the glass to
make sure my measurements are good. You also want room at the top for
finishing.

Mattress stitch or slip stitches the sides on the wrong side. Tuck the ends
in (I go up the stitches I already did) and work the ends in with a tiny
crochet hook, but that is just me.

Single or double or half double crochet around the top of your bag. I run a
chain in the holes and tie the ends of the chains to make that draw string.
I also like chaining three around the tops every other stitch and running
the chain in those loops like a belt loop would go.

I can make them for you. We have pay pal. I can also make square or
rectangular bags as well.

With this same gift bag idea, you can make wrist purses. I make a flap
though to close mine. A gal wants a purse with her, but due to shoulder
injuries, can't wear one. We had to talk a lot to figure out what size for
her wallet, lipstick, and small due dads, smile. She loves her little
purse. Another friend of mine told me how cute Jane's purse was, and she
wants one for those runs to the store.

Becky and Jake who can't get his paws to knit.
