Joyce;
I guess it does not hit me as hard, because I have never been able to enjoy expressions. Even I have some sight, I use my other sences to enjoy the beauty of an item or event.
Congratulations.

Joyce,
I completely understand, and have tears right along with you!
Congratulations for the upcoming events. The hardest times for me being blind were the day my daughter got her diploma, the day she got married, and a couple other events like that. I so miss seeing expressions on people's faces!

I must tell you I had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. I spent the day with
my family which included 4 generations being my Mom, me, my son's and my
Granddaughters. Their significant others were there too.

My daughter went to upstate New York to gbe with her fiance's family. She
shared with me last night something she wanted me to tell the family at the
dinner table today. So I had the joy of announcing we will have an
addition to our family next year. After she told me this last night my
oldest
son walked in to pick me up and found me crying. He asked me what was
wrong
and all I could say, "My little girl is grown up." Now he had known the
secret and replied, "Mom she is 32 years old!" I told him he would not
understand as he is not a Mom.

They were planning their marriage for October 2011 and I had gone through
the feelings of not being able to see my baby walk down the aisle. It just

was an other rollercoster and feeling of loss realizing I will not see the
smile on my Grand children's faces.

I am much better now and I know that some of you out there might understand
my thoughts and feelings, but wow
