Hello again,

I'd like your ideas because something's kind of going wrong with what we're doing.

So, I've taken some of your ideas and decided to start the whole crafts thing with Will by doing a collage you suggested. I went ahead and cut out different textures and materials and pieces of paper for him to identify and feel and put onto a big sheet of construction paper. It probably won't look the prettiest but this is more of a tactile thing, I think.
We're having a bit of a hard time with actually sticking the things on to the paper. I took your ideas of the glue stick, but for some reason, he's having a bit of a hard time knowing how much or how little he's put, and a lot of times, it's been too little. We're by no means done with this, but last night, I ended up having to help him by applying more from the glue stick and such. I was hoping I could get him to do more of this stuff, but this particular way of gluing isn't working well.
So, if he can't feel the amount from the glue stick, we need a better way. I can see it and can apply more if I need to.
Are we going to have to do something more tactile or where he feels what he's doing?

Is it time to talk about getting his fingers in this too?
What do you suggest?

Dick
