Once you've done an inch or so, you bring up the loop from the bottom of 
your piece, which would be from the very first row you did.  You can slip a 
safety or coilless pin to mark each loop.  Bring that loop up and over the 
peg and then bring the bottom loop up and over.  Then just continue with 
your wrapping as usual.
