Hi Greg;
That is strange. The one I did as a kid used regular yarn. It was not thick yarn. It was a picture of a red bird on a branch, with a white background. My mom outlined sections and I filled them in. I tried holding the canvis against a white pillow case to see the patern, but it was just to hard.
I use the rug yyarn to make tactual designs on my plastic canvis. I have done the Whozit and letters. Blind people can feal them. They are higher up than the background stitches. I also use it to make braille dots on my book marks. Surprizingly, it can go through 7 count canvis. These are smaller than the holes on latch hook. Seven squares per inch.

Terry,

I saw a latch hook book called Row Upon Row and it had a checkerboard using short and a little longer yarn for the two colors. I tried using regular worsted weight yarn but need rug yarn which is a little bigger. So, will keep at it when I get more yarn.

Thanks for the welcome.

Greg
