[Nfb-krafters-korner] pin question

If you were speaking about the pin patterns on the Family website [I can't
remember the name of the website] not many are in a word form. I do not
know which ones are and are not. I had asked her last year if she could
help and put some into words and she did not do it. So I asdked her once
again in January for St. Patty's Day ones and she did do those.

I told her there was blind folks out here wanting to do them and do them
with their children or Grand children. So she did respond to me via email.
I even had someone write me after reading her blog and my request. It was
a lady from Ireland and she sent me a couple of the St. Patty's Day
patterns in words that I used.

Joyce,

I think she was talking about the beaded pins that you were mentioning on
list. Like the Halloween pin, the Irish flag. Those pins with the seed
beads.

You had mentioned the website that the publicly available patterns were at.
I think she was wondering which patterns on those sites you had found were
in an accessible format.

Patterns that are classes are given out to students taking the classes
only. That is why we encourage folks to join our division and take the
classes. Some of these patterns are created by our instructors that teach
the
class, so we will not post them to the list or on the website.

We encourage folks to take the class and then each student receives a
downloadable file of the recording of the class as long as they attend the

class. The students receive any written files or patterns or links to
such

patterns from the instructors. The instructors are on this list to be
available for any help that a student might need. The instructors also
will do
one on one help with a student to help them understand the process.

Our teachers do not get paid for this, so it is a real bargain for our
members to be able to receive all of this for $10 per year.

We are lucky to have such wonderful teachers and friends here on Krafters
Korner.

Hi Joyce and all,
Would it be possible to create a list of the accessible safety pin
beading
patterns? Or will that involve a lot of work for someone? I am not sure
about the archiving of info from this list, but I will be happy to
feature
a
list of these patterns on my accessible arts and crafts site, or
alternatively, we can post the list once a month or give an e-mail address

where people can request it from?
I plan to write to Sherry to thank her for the work she has done so far
for
us, so she knows it is appreciated.
Just some ideas to make the patterns more accessible to us all.
Lindy
