Please, please change subject lines when you change topic in emails. We
went from weight loss to beading and what is encrusted bead work in this
email.

Please take the time to change the subject lines for folks to follow
emails.

Lynda,

>From what I can see, your work is beautiful! However, can you explain to
me
what encrusted bead work is. All this time I thought you were talking
about
clay that you were "encrusting" with beads, but these amulets don't appear
to be made of clay.

Blessings,

Denise, it works for me! lol
Losing weight is not an easy job - and it is a full time job that never
ends. I have my own battles with that, too. Even thought I am a life long
vegetarian, most folks do not realize that vegetarians also have weight
issues. I exercise at least three days a week at the gym, and I love to
exercise AFTER it is finished because my day goes 100 percent better, I am
energized, my mind is clearer, and I just feel so much more positive about
everything. But the hard part is getting UP and getting my shoes on and
actually leaving the house. I am very lucky because the gym is just a
short
walk from my house, but I could not do it without the help of my husband
because I would have to cross a very busy road and of course I cannot see
to

do that. But, my gym is wonderful. After I lost my sight, the owner of the
gym visited me, brought me a talking watch, and some other things she
thought might help me. And, when I was ready to come back to the gym, she
went around and helped me figure out how I can use it without sight. We
put
bump dots on some things, like the StairMaster so I could know where the
controls were and do it myself. I have no problem with the free weights as
I

can easily feel them, and they are always in their exact spot on the rack,
so I need to help with anthing at the gym at all and many people who do
not
know me never suspect I cannot see them except for their shadow presence.

I can recommend a very wonderful nutrition program that is available in a
book - for those who want more than just a little bit of exercise. I
absolutely love the book _Body for Life_ by Bill Phillips. It is a more
intensive but not difficult program - it is cardio three days a week, and
upper/lower body work out three days a week. This is my favorite program,
and I started using it about 9 years ago. But it IS an intensive program
and

not for anyone who is not really serious about becoming FIT for life. It
is
called a "High Intensity Interval Training program." That's your clue. haha

As for crafting: I am working all day, every day right now making
encrusted

beadworked talismans for my one person show at a gallery/museum that will
open on Sept. 9. I will attach two photos of recent ones, for those who
can
see with adaptive equipment such as zoomtext. With the show only 2 weeks
away, I still have lots of STITCHING to do yet. We hang the show next
week - I try not to even think about it, but just kekep my nose to the
BEADS.
