I tried the eye chord, while home sick.  It sure worked better than it sounded like it would.  I have about 1.5 feet.  
For another project, how could I make it like a tube or maybe not so flimzy.  My idea is to make a reath and then add beads for berries, while still in the tube form and then sew it together.  I do not have any knitting needles small enough for this, I do not think.  Any ideas out there?
