About the yarn: is 100% cotton best or is a cotton/acrylic blend yarn ok. as
I said, I have never made a dishcloth.

We will be doing this  after New Years, but if you want to get  supplies 
here is what you will need.
 
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: White - 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m)  
Black - 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m) Small amount Yellow (Lily Sugar 'n Cream) 
Yarn  or Peaches and Cream cotton yarn.
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
