Terry P,

Your email address is not showing up. if you include your email in a post, I
will be happy to send you the KK snowman in another format. When you
requested the pattern the first time, I believe that Cindy did reply saying
that she did not have your new email.

Cathy,
Sounds like your snowman came out great! Glad you were able to get it
finished.

Hi all,

Yes, its that time again, time for me to tell you about my latest completed
projects I was so disappointed to miss the second snowman class, (I couldn't
find the darned phone number.) but I did find the pattern online and was
able to finish it on my own. I did one thing differently from the pattern
and thought I'd share about that. in the instructions it says to close the
bottom of the snowman and I decided not to do this. I was concerned that if
I did, the snowman would not stand up well. instead, after I stuffed it, I
placed a lid from an 8oz container of sour cream into the opening at the
bottom, placing the inside of the lid toward the outside of the work, so the
lid and fabric would catch one another and interlock. . It fit perfectly!
(no, I cannot take credit for the idea, it is my creative husband's
contribution to my project.) anyhow, so then I moved on to making the face.
The pattern gave suggestions and I chose round buttons, not the flat ones,
but half circle sort of ones with the sewing hole in the back of the button.
I used two for the eyes and five for the mouth. Then I used a pipe cleaner
and shaped it into a nose that stuck out, the pipe cleaner was folded into
four parts. Then all of these items were glued into place. the eyes lined up
with the edges of the mouth. The outer two most buttons of the mouth were up
slightly to form a smile. the nose was centered between eyes and mouth, just
above the third button in the mouth. (no, I cannot take credit for this
either, this was my daughter's contribution to my project), and, the face
really looks cute.
I made the scarf on the Clover Wonder knitter and I had it tied in a bow,
but my daughter set me straight and had it drape over on one side. I made
the hat with the 24 peg, for both hat and scarf I used a red T and Q that I
had from the treat bag project.

I have learned some things while making this project and I think the most
important thing is how to be more creative!

I also finished a loomed knit hat for my daughter last night. I used Lion
brand jiffy yarn in Century green. That is blue/green btw! Anyhow, the Jiffy
is no where as bulky as I expected so I had to use two strands and ran out
of yarn and had to make the hat a bit smaller than I had intended. (just
hope my daughter will think it is large enough! I noticed also, that the
Jiffy did not stretch as much as the wool ease thick and quick that I'd used
for my first two hats, so this hat was tighter though I used the same loom
size. So, if you want to make a stocking hat, I recommend wool ease T and Q.

I hope you are looking forward to looming some slipper socks in January with
Tanya and me. I have made one pair in T and Q, and will also be making a
pair in wool ease worsted weight for one strand and Jiffy as the second
strand. I feel very adventurous! I'll let you know which works best in
class!

I cannot attend tonight. I have a brand new granddaughter and am going to
visit her. I have made two snowman bodies, so if possible, I would like to
have the pattern so I can finish them. Thanks.

Don't forget out class tonight. We will meet at 8:00 Eastern, 7:00 Central.
See you all then! Don't forget your fiberfill and your other supplies.

Headed to a meeting so I will not be able to respond.
