[Nfb-krafters-korner] Question about the directions on the Shamrock pattern

I have a question on the directions in this pattern.

What is meant by P1 twice?  Why wouldn't that just be written P2?

You can see an example of what I am questioning in this row:

      5:  (k1, p1) twice, p30, (k1, p1) twice
