I am resending this as the first time I sent it my email was not working
correctly, so I have no idea if it did in fact make it to the list.

Subject: iPhone apps

Ok so as promised, a list of favorite apps.
Craft apps:
Knit Counter Light
Hue View
Lion Brand
Jo-ann What I like about the Jo-ann app is their app gives you an
accessible version of the current coupon at your local store.

Blind apps:
Noogles

oMoby - this is the one that identifies currency. Take a picture of a bill
and in 10 seconds it will tell you what it is.
It identifies all kinds of things, but for me the most useful trait is the
currency identification.

There are a couple color identifiers... not great, but, better than I can
do in the dark. Smile. There is one called
aid colors, another called color ID,
Red Laser is a bar code scanner that can identify items.

For Weather I use
Weather Bug
Music
There are several good radio apps

Sound Hound is very cool, it will identify the name performer and lyrics of
the song you are listening to.

For Navigation I have:
Sendero GPS, which is good for getting a location.
Where The Hell Am I, is also good to get a current address and GPS
coordinates.
Around Me, gives good points of interest around your current location.

Where to, will give ideas for example if you are looking for an Indian
restaurant it will give you the names and locations of the particcular type
of restaurant you are looking for.

For a timer I use Alarmed
For a Bible I use YouVersion put out by Life Church. They have several
different translations that can be downloaded and used offline.
For Birding I like
I Bird, Chirp and Bird Tunes
For Word Games I like Moxie and Link that Word
Blind Memory is the game that you shut off Voice Over and it is completely
accessible

I haven't played them yet, but hear great reviews on Chess Wise, Checkers
Wise, and Draughes Wise.
Also 81 squares is supposed to be an accessible Soduko game.
