[Nfb-krafters-korner] plastic canvas

I have also seen premade shapes in the craft stores.  Stars, circles and 
hearts just to name a few.  You can get them individually or in 
packets.  I agree with Terry, I have found it better to stitch first and 
then cut.  I waste less canvas that way.

The sizes are called x count.  I most of the time use 7 count, or 7 stitches per inch, about. It is the easiest to feal the holes either with your finger or the tip of a needle.  Most of the time, I use a size 16 or about, tapestry needle.  They have a pretty large eye and if you squeeze the yarn, it usually will slide into the eye with out a threader.
