Greg:

Let me be perfectly clear, on the fact that I have never asked for nor
expected any type of monitary benefit from this group for my time given to
the membership in teaching them knitting skills. I have done it from my
heart because, yes I have truely enjoyed working with all those in my
classes. I am not nor was I looking for "pay back. or my voluntary teaching
time" That is not even an issue for me. Another thing I find disturbing in
all of this is that there has been emails on the list from the president as
well as in a phone conversation I had with her on Friday afternoon, in which
she made it very clear to me that she was the person during the board
meeting of Wednesday night, Jan 5, that she brought up the idea of and
promoted for some kind of monitary reward to be given to instructors. We
now know from Audrey's email to the list that it was in fact Audrey who
brought that to the floor and not the president. Further in the end it was
never passed as something that was resolved. In my cconversation I was not
lead to believe it was going to not happen. It very much sounded to me that
it was a done deal. Again, I'm not looking for payment, my time is
voluntary, but I do expect the truth from people and not to be misled in a
conversation.

Second, while it is my pleasure to volunteer to teach, it is not my consent
nor desire to have class materials that I have developed and created &
written gifted to the NFB nor the NFB Krafters Korner for their financial
benefit. Again this important and concerning question goes unanswered. I
must ask myself why? The only answer I can come up with is that while I sit
and wait patiently for this divisions board to get back to me with what
should be an easy & reasonable answer is that it is taking this amount of
time because behind the scenes they have elevated it to the National level,
getting legal input on where they stand in attempting to claim my materials
for their own. Can I a small not independantly wealthy person be expected
to retain a law team to fight them in this case? What kind of organization
is the NFB that they would do this? So unfair, so unethical it is beyond
beleif.
