[Nfb-krafters-korner] spool of thread

Becky,

Take the point of your needle. Run it along the flared out end of the
spool, just under the top edge. The edge between the threads and the flat
side with the paper label on it. Usually thread companies tack the end of
the thread underneath that piece of paper that labels the spool.

Ok, help, My wonderful son gave me a little sewing box. So Oopse, I did get
crafting stuff for Christmas, shy smile. All these spools are new, grown
how do you find the end of brand new spools of thread. What sort of little
tricks do you all have?

This sewing box is cool. One side has needles in a little sample tube you
get sample perfumes in, seem ripper, threader, safety pins in a little box,
straight pins in another little box, scissors, pin cushion. You close that
side and flip it over and open the other side then you have thirty little
spools of thread. A very thoughtful gift, smile.

What tricks do you use to open and find the beginning thread of new spools?

Becky and Jake who says, just bite the spool in two, arf!
