Terry P. Tri beads are triangle shaped and sort of flat with a bump at each
corner. The textured beads in the safety pin class were faceted and come in
several sizes and the flat ones that had prongs or paddles sticking out go
by many names from paddle wheel, ferris wheel, star, starburst, and I'm sure
more. I'm not sure about your "lifesaver" shaped beads. You might be talking
about pony beads there since you say they have a big hole..

Greg;
Is a tri bead also a pony bead? How about those textured beads we use on
the safty pin baskits? What are they? How about those beads that look
almost like a life saver, round, not to fat and have a large hole?

Yes. Pony beads can absolutely be used in safety pin beading. You can even
make pictures with them. And, they come in all colors, combinations like
swirl or speckled, transparent, glow in the dark, and even when exposed to
the sun, have a special look! The variety is huge. Now, just what to do with
them?? Any ideas?

Now I have done things with Girl Scouts and pony beads, but can the pony
beads be used on the safety pins to create a unique feel and look to a
project? Pony beads are easily found in many crafting stores like AC
Moore's, Joann's, Michael;s, etc.

Does anyone on the list do any crafts with pony beads? This is an area I'd
love to learn more about.
