[Nfb-krafters-korner] A Whole New Concept!

Terry P,
I mean it is individual. For some this is a little hobby and a bit of fun.
Probably that is the majority, and that is fine. As a teacher you know who
you are and what you intend to accomplish with your class. Copyright and
intellectual property are of no concern for this kind of a class normally,
as long as you don't use anyone else's materials and present them as your
own, or use them without the author's permission in writing.

For others, this is a serious endeavor and the class is quite different in
content and delivery.

There are different levels of expertise here on the KK. I am not a techer
here at KK but I am a teacher by profession. I know there are a number of
others here who also teach by profession, here and as a business. These
teachers have put together materials that are developed carefully and
thoughtfully. Sometimes those materials were deveoped over a period of years
and refinded with each class they teach. They are original plans for
original projects. They are based on that teacher's life-long learning and
teaching and on their years of experience with many types and levels of
students. The plans they develop are tools that they use in teaching their
classes. Those plans are copyrighted because they are intellectual property
of the person who created them.

For some people who are teachers, the many aspects of modern technology
offer layers of presenting ideas. When I lectured or taught university
classes, I used multiple media in all my classes. Students learn through
multiple means of seeing, touching, listening, etc.

I can imagine some teachers, probably a very few, would like to do a class
that involves a number of ways of learning. This could be soooooo exciting
to do.

and, no teacher who would put this kind of work into a course would ever do
it without the assurance that the class is theirs alone. Copyright is
necessary and it IS the LAW.

We still need to have this clarified.
