Dixie, I am sure you will be reading grade 2 in no time. I am
amazed at all the skills you have. You sound to me like someone
who has been blind all their life. I mean that only in the best
way.
Having a book you want to read may just motivate you to learn
grade 2 even quicker.
I am newly retired and enjoying Key West right now so I am not
sure when we will be going back home, but I will let you know
when I have my hands on that book again.
Carol

Carol,
When you get home I would love to hear about that Tatting book!
I hope it
is available from Web Braille, or NLS, so I can get a version I
can read...
Braille is not my best skill. I am just learning. I am still
reading grade
1, and learning the very beginning of grade 2.

Dixie, I have a braille book on tatting that I purchased from
horizon for the blind several years ago. I have not learned how
to do it and I am not sure if the book is still available. If
you are interested, I can tell you more about the book when we
get back home.

First of all,
Annette,
I would like to thank you for the great thought provoking
questions. You
have been doing a very nice job since you took over this function
of the
list!
Now for my answers.
I would really like to learn tatting. I have an antique ivory
shuttle that
was my Great-Grandmother's. I very much would love to create
something
with a tool that came from her sewing box!
Me sentimental? You think?
Hmmmm, how to learn it? I find that transportation to the place
where
classes are given to be the strongest deterrent to taking the
classes.
