My cat knows to leave my supplies alone if they are in a box, but if I drop
a pom pom or some yarn, it's fair game!  I don't mind making such
compromises, she keeps the critters away from our apartment among other
things, so she's worth it.

Ha!  My one adventure into basket weaving as an adult about fifteen years
ago was at a time when I had five cats to help me out.
