[Nfb-krafters-korner] mental block--and a weird one

Hey everybody,

I think I have a mental block.

I finished my round dish cloth--except for binding it off.  I have everything I need right there.  But what I did instead was go get my sock to work on it instead.  Do I have a mental block about finishing something??? I mean, I do need to get my sock ready for Friday night but honestly!  All I have to do is do the three-needle bind off which I know how to do and that would be the end.

But here's what happened last night.  Somehow, some of the ply in the cotton came apart and I had a honey of a time!  It was close enough to the end that I didn't want to have to use new yarn.  I was so upset!!  I worked and worked and worked and I never totally got it fixed but I hope I successfully "hid" the bad spot.  In any event, if I don't like it I can keep it--as we seem to have had most of our dish cloths and all of our dish towels disappear. <g<

Another thing:  I got your note, Joyce, about the circus yarn but can't order any for a while as we had a little problem with one of my credit cards.  I have to wait for a new one.

Anyway, I'm off to work on my sock during the ball game if I don't fall asleep.  I'm thinking of falling asleep during the second half of the game. <g<  I sometimes go to bed on purpose.  <g<  But it's probably the only time I can work on my sock and I don't want to go too far as I know in theory how to do the wraps but I never liked it when I tried them.
