thanks to all who responded to my message.  I have to agree with one writer 
who stated that labeling is really the most reliable way to define our color 
stash.  I guess we try very hard to be as independent as possible, but there 
are some areas where we must accept the help gracefully. The inconsistency 
of the detector is not worth the money, so I plan to return it.
