[Nfb-krafters-korner] Pottery Making

Oh, I have many things going at once. They are just not related to crafts.
I work fulltime, I have a long commute to and from work, I go to the gym
every weekday, I am a wife, mom, dog guide owner, pet owner and a volunteer.
My crafting is my personal relaxing time. I take my knitting and crocheting
with me everywhere. I do it while I am waiting, sitting, standing, etc. I
keep it new by learning new knit and crochet techniques. The rest will come
in time.

Enjoy your Independence Day. I've got to get preparing food for our cook
out and get ready to go to the fireworks.

Hi Annette,
Yes, you can just wet your finger and go over your clay and smooth out any
wrinkles you may have.

It is ok to have the tissue paper mixed in with your clay. It will absorb
into the clay, as the tissue paper is a FIBER, so I put all my scraps of
tissue paper in with my scraps of clay, and just wedge them all together. It
all becomes CLAY. the paper is so thin you do not have to worry about any
divets as it cannot do that, instead it dissolves in with the clay. Yes, it
all burns off if on the outside of the piece - when put into the kiln.

I keep knitting, pottery, and encrusted bead working all going on at the
same time. I work back and forth between them, to keep me interested and not
overwhelmed with only one. And, mixed in with all the arts/crafts projects,
I work on my eBay store daily for hours. This is all my "work" in progress.
I have to work on a number of levels at the same time - that is how I think
- I cannot work on only one thing as I am not a linear thinker - I am a
dynamic and cyclical thinker. It is good to know how you think and why so
you can set up your schedule as best fits your own personality. It has
taken me nearly my whole life time to finally figure that out, too. haha
