Hi Mary;

The kits are cut out of clear plastic camvas.  If you are taking the class, It is your responsibility to buy the needles and yarn of your choice.  
I am not sure what you ment by the colors.  Camvas does come in colors, but it is a lot more expensive and you need to match it to the yarn you are using.
Let me know if you still want the 2 kits.
