Hi Karen,
Yes, the knifty knitter is an easy way to make knitted items. I am making slippers for my Grand Sons as fast as I can get them done. They love them. It is a project you can easily put down at most points and not make a mess. I think the rectangle knitters take more yarn then the round ones. You can make flat pieces on the round looms. But the rectangle looms make a thicker item.

You can make dish cloths on the loom until you learn to knit. Dish cloths are my way of relaxing without thinking. But some have patterns that keep you on your toes.

When this group is in full steam there are so many choices of crafting ideas your head will spin.

Get your looms and find the directions from the internet or someone on the list and start your scarf.

But most of all have fun crafting.

I'm considering purchasing the new book for blind knitters but I don't think it discusses the loom. I'm in Texas and it's already warming up, but I figure if I start now, I might be able to finish a scarf by December.

At Christmas time I went to a crafts gallery featuring handmade items designed by people with disabilities. There was a display of items done by a visually impaired woman who does quilling. I bought one of her beautiful magnets to serve as inspiration.
