Thanks. When I get a chance, I need to go over how to turn on a flat item. I think I know, but need to make sure. Rather busy right now.
Thanks again.

Here is a copy of the slipper pattern sent to me from Carol. The pattern is so easy that it seems vague when you read it.

Basically, you cast on thirty stitches and then reduce them by six on each side when you have finished the heel and ankle part. That gives you a funny piece of work. Sewing up the beginning stitches make the heel and pulling yarn through the last stitches makes the toe.
Hope that helps
Henrietta

> Instructions
> 1. 1. The instructions are written to fit a ladies size 8 or 9 shoe. You can adjust to fit your foot. Use 2 pieces of yarn for all of the slippers.
> 2. 2. Knitting a flat piece of knitting using 30 of the pegs. Start on peg 1 and wrap to peg 29 then wrap around peg 30 and go back to peg 1 and wrapping on peg one. Knit 15 rows.
> 3. 3. You are knitting from the heel to the toe this may help if you can think of this.
> 4. 4. You are now on the 15th row, decrease or take off the next 6 stitches. Knit to the end of the row and decrease off the next 6 stitches. Continue knitting on the 18 stitches for 18 more rows.
> 5. 5. Fold in half and sew up the heel. Run a thread through the loops on the 18 pegs and pull tight. Sew up the top of the slipper to the arch or to the cuff.
> 6. 6. Crochet a chain about 24 inches and thread through the ankle. Attach a pom-pom on the end of the chain and tie a bow.
> 7. 7. Now put on your comfy slippers, put your feet up and relax !
