[Nfb-krafters-korner] Still Seeking Training in Crafts forOccupation

No, I have no connections with India. Perhaps, you're thinking of
another member. My case is actually very strange. I am from America
and still live there. But I am a strict Greek patriot with no
Hellenic blood. My ultimate dream in life is to move to Greece,
become a citizen and do something for my country. I've taught myself
the modern language (Dimotiki), have just completed a free course at
kypros.org and am now starting one which becomes extremely advanced
(to the level of Katharevousa) from FSI (also online and free). I've
been totally blind since I was two-months-old. I enjoy trying new
foods but I love cooking them even more, especially from scratch.
Like you, I enjoy learning about all sorts of things as well. To be
truthful, my name is not Eleni Vamvakari. It's Tiffany. I chose
Eleni for it's connection to being Greek (Greece = Hellas, Greek woman
= ellinida etc) and for it's sacred one to Hellen of Troy. I chose
Vamvakari for it's relation to Markos Vamvakaris, a musician/singer
who has inspired me a great deal. Hopefully, one day, I can make this
name legal.

But I don't want to get in trouble for getting offtopic. If anyone
would like to get to know me better, feel free to e-mail me offlist at
magkisa 83 at g mail dot com, to add me to msn (scholar 1983 at hot
mail dot com, only for messenger/not e-mail) or to check out my
Facebook page at

http://m.facebook.com/profile.php?v=info&refid=17

and to add me if you wish. Sorry for the strange writing in the
addresses. Just trying to avoid spam or bots adding me.

I love your idea of checking meetup! I didn't even think to look
there! Maybe, I can start up a group and see who's interested in
joining, if one doesn't already exist. It's sad about caning. I just
wish that there was some kind of directory of places that still teach
the so-called blind trades. Since you mentioned India, they're one of
the countries which still do!

Talk soon,
Eleni
