Do you have a local Lions Club? Our club as well as others in the area will
offer rides to blind folks.

I imagine they will teach anyone who is interested. They tell me that it is
VERY hard to get any young people who want to learn to weave - In our area
blind people have no way of getting anywhere - PA is VERY rural overall.
There is no such thing as public transportation except in the cities - and
blind associations do not take blind people to things like this at all from
what I can tell. I am told that most blind people around here do not
venture out much at all unless they have a famly member who will or can do
it. Our situation is very very different that what many of you experience.
If I did not have my husband or grandchildren, I would very likely never
leave my house. This is living in a rural area. The likliehood of any blind
people coming to the museum to learn to weave is probably very slim. You
remember how I had told you that no blind people were even brought to see my
show even after I had sent out information packets to all the area blind
associations. I never had any response from any of them at all, one way or
the other.
