Lynda,

Break the mold.  If you need something different than what the groups in the
area offer, explain to them what you need and see if you can expand their
way of thinking.  You and others will be the better for your efforts.

Yes, there is one, but from what other blind frineds have told me, the only
thing they do is give us a lunch one afternoon in July, and a Christmas
party in December. I don't know of any local non-profit groups that really
do anything for blind people. Have not heard of anything.
