[Nfb-krafters-korner] herb craft and bake sale

Hi Cindy,

You know I'll be at the KK snowman class!

Barb was asking about the size of the snowman, the size and number of
buttons and the weight of yarn. I'd like to know the answers to these
questions as well so I can order my yarn online. I'm probably going to
purchase thick and quick because I love that yarn, so will one skein be
enough.
Can probably get some buttons from friends if I know the size and color.
Isn't a snowman's nose usually orange and eyes black? What will the mouth be
made from? Red or green scarf sounds nice?

Ohio,
I will be teaching a Knifty Knitter Snowman class soon. We are working out
he dates right now.

If you and others (Terry here you go!) want to get your supplies for the
class you will need the 24 peg blue KK loom. We will use two strands of
white yarn, a second color for the scarf and hat, fiberfill, small black
buttons for eyes and mouth (you could also use black pipe cleaners),
something to make an i-chord with.

Stay tuned for the class to be listed.

Cindy Z.

Hello all,

We had a very good turn-out at the community center for voting because of
the beautiful weather and some important local issues. Perhaps this is why I
am able to report to you that I sold "everything" yes you read that
correctly, everything I made and contributed to the garden clubs sale. two
crocheted cupcakes, two crocheted baby blankets, one lapghan, and one Xmas
treat bag with holly with berries sticking out of the top of it. I am so
very pleased!

Of course now I am more enthusiastic than ever to delve in to more craft
making.

I really am enjoying the safety pin beading class Theresa is teaching to
make a lighted Xmas tree. I will certainly be taking the lighted beaded
snowman class planned for in January. Meanwhile, without a KK loom class
being offered in the near future I am branching out on my own to make a
scarf and slippers. I already made a hat on my own that came out
wonderfully. Then, in the crochet arena I am starting a new baby blanket
since I've sold all of mine. Have an interesting, but easy pattern to try.
The blanket will be lavender with cream edging.

So that's the story here in windy chilly Ohio.

Hi All,

Just wanted to share with all of you that I am donating my knitted holiday
treat bag and my two crocheted cupcakes to my garden club's herb, craft and
bake sale on Election day. My treat bag is cream and red and will have some
holly sticking out of the top of it. the cupcakes are one with white cake
and chocolate icing and the other with chocolate cake and white icing, and
both have a wooden red bead cherry on top plus a decorative pattern of small
pins of multicolor. I will ask three or four dollars for each and see if
they sell. I think the bag turned out the best, and the vanilla cupcake
turned out better than the chocolate one, because I did a better job of
shaping it. so anyway, I'll let you know if anything sells. Oh yes, I will
also have my crocheted baby blankets there too, but I didn't make them from
a class with all of you.
