Linda;
How do you access your computer, with large print or do you have speech. I have Jaws and a braille display. I also have a braille embosser after many years trying to get one. I also use a note taker.

Hi Terry,
Yes, I have had art shows, solo exhibitions, all over the world. My career is archived at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.
I have a package here that I am getting ready to send them to add to the archive on me - anyone who goes to the archives dept. there can ask for my file and do research on my career and my art.

I have been doing exhibitions all over the world since the late 1970s. I
do Artist-in-Residency projects, with galleries and museums, too.Already working on project plans through 2013 at this time. I always have several exhibition projects in the que at any time. Art is my life and my business.

Thanks for the advice - it is very weird to me when a very mobile person is not permitted to travel on an event without a sighter guide when I do not need one at all.

About the clay. You can get whatever kind of clay you like and I am assuming it will be the kind that dries and does not need to be fired in a kiln. Your local crafts store can help you with this decision. Or, you can visit the dick blick website to order it online.

I do not use this kind of clay and don't know much about it. Clay IS messy and you cannot work on things just anywhere - I would never think of traveling with it, myself. I work on things on a spcial table in my studio, but I have worked on my kitchen counter too.

Working with clay is a slow process, it cannot be rushed. It is for very patient people, I would say.
You can listen in and get the scoop when I do the classes, of course. We will have two discussions first. I will talk about regular fired clay, and another person will address no-fire clays. Our discussion will address the differences in the clays as we have experienced them. We won't be teaching anything until our class projects in January. I have proposed to teach three projects, and will get that all settled with Joyce and she will make the official announcments, I think. Until then, I am working on the three projects myself, will be photographing each step of the project, and will write descriptions for each step. I plan to post them on my blog, and on FaceBook so everyone can access them at any time.

Right now, I am on my way out to the studio to give it a good cleaning today. I only work in my studio till December, after that, I work in my house over the winter time.

OH, there is no NFB organization in my area. The closest would be Pittsburgh which is an hour away - and I live in a rural area - most of PA is very rural - no transportation available for such a distance here. This group is my only contact with NFB.
