[Nfb-krafters-korner] eye chord

Hi Ninn;
I tried it out again, but it never made a circle. It came out flat and you could feal the working yarn going from bottom to top. Something is not working. I am now trying it on the 8 peg kk loom. It is not traveling in to the tube of the other loom. It is backing up into the working area of the loom. I have tried to push it down. With this happening, I can not tell how long my work is.
Any kk loom users, how do I end something if I do not want it to decrease. I just want to make a tube.
Henry and I tried lifting one stitch to the left and knitting off, but it tightened my work almost to a point.

Hi Terry,

Great - I am glad I could help! Your project sounds intriguing. I can't wait to hear what you have come up with!

Blessings,

Thanks. I tried it last night and could not get it to work. I think I
figured out the problem. I did not bring the yarn around back, I just
brought it up and it was creating an extra loop at the end. I will try
again and let you know how it goes. I have a neet idea if I can just master
this method or I will have to do it on the small kk loom.

Terry,

The i-cord is made on double pointed needles (DPNs). When you finish a row,
rather than turning your work and working back, you slide the stitches back
to the right, bring the working yarn across the back of your work and knit
the first stitch. Once you knit that first stitch, be sure to pull on the
working yarn in order to snug up the stitches. In effect, you are knitting
the last stitch to the first stitch, creating a tube.

If you do not have double pointed needles, then you will have to slip the
worked stitches from the right needle, purl wise, back to the left needle
and then knit as described above. You will need to do this after each row.
So, if you don't have dPNs, you can still make your i-cord - just a little
more complicated.

If you still have questions, let me know

Blessings,
Ninn

Ninn;
Are you in, today. I sent you an e-mail, today.

Does anyone know how to do the eye chord. If I understand her right, do you
do it on double pointed needles.
When I bring the yarn to the other end to knit the second row, the end of
the needle is in the way, so you can not slide the stitches off.
