Linda, Very good idea, and I have a package of that foam in my
craft room.

Carol,
Get a sheet of craft foam from the craft store, then cut yourself
a nice
wide strip
>From this sheet. Then place it on your machine at the 5/8 inch
mark (if
that is the seam width you want to use) and use duct tape to tape
it
securely to your machine. It is thick enough to give you a nice
edge to
follow with your fabric and your seams will be straight.

HTH
Have a blessed day,

machine

I am having a hard time sewing straight seams. My husband, Ed,
tells me it is because I am trying too hard. He says the machine
will sew straight if I just make sure the fabric is flat and free
to be pulled by the machine. I feel like I have to have my
fingers up near the presser foot so I know what is happening.

Do any of you experienced sewers have an opinion?

Carol
