made me a  seam guide out of metal.  it is a little more than  2 
inches  wide and exactly as long as my machine.  It has a long 
whole across  it where the screw from the original small seam 
guide fits.  The long  whole allows me to adjust it for different 
seam widths and,  since it  is as long as the machine, I can line 
up the edges so I am sure it is  straight.
