I think it was Carol who bought the sewing machine that smells very musty.
Whoever it was, I once saw a show where they had an antique business where
they restored old pieces.  I thought it was interesting that they applied
vodka to the joints and seams of the wood to rid it of the musty smell.  You
might give it a try and then let us know how it works!  Might have a nip on
the side, too!
