I got the caps and a pump to use instead of the seal a meal thing. It was much cheaper especially since sealing jars was
all I want to do. I can't read the dial but we decided about how many times I squeeze the handle seals it to 15lbs of
pressure or whatever it uses. The dried apples I bought at the tailgate market were sealed using that and I can open
them with my fingers, just a little tight on the top of the jar. Mine are sealed so that I have to use something eels to
open them with. Not sure if I'm over doing it or not.

The Seal a Meal is one brand of sealers. It has a special attachment to seal jars. I have never used that attachment.
You can seal and reseal the jars.
