Would you like to try your crafty hand at giving back to the community?

If so, join me for the official KK Charity Facebook Group. During the month
of September, we will gather members and discuss various charities that we
can contribute to as a division. The first week of October will be for an
official vote on the one charity that we will work on for the year.

My hope for the group is to work on hand-made items to donate to a charity
as one-a-year (July to July, even though we are starting late this first
year) and each year to pick a new charity to concentrate on. Even though
knitting and crochet seem to be the predominate areas for hand-made charity
items, I believe that we should be open to pursuing any type of craft. The
group will make the final decision on the charity we support for any given
year.

This group will use the groups feature of Facebook for our discussions and
collaborations. The use of Facebook for this particular project of the
Krafters Division has no bearing on any classes, email listservs, conference
call use, or any other ventures the division is currently using or plans to
use.
