Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] knitting questions

What is an average length for a scarf?

I am using home spun yarn, so what is that thread like tecture, my needle keeps getting caught on?  It feals sort of like a thread of nilon going through my yarn.

I saw some yarn for sale, they clamed it to be, Christmas yarn.  Some had like a chord then a fuzzy ball, then chord then a fuzzy ball.  What kind of yarn is that and what in the world could you make with it.  Do you actually knit with the chord and then have fuzzy bumps, through out your work, how strange!
