[Nfb-krafters-korner] My first Craft show of the year

I always went to shows at churches as I knew I was getting real bargains. I
have a beautiful crocheted doily I spent a whopping $2.50 for. I can't
begin to imagine the amount of time some woman put into that doily. I
probably paid 1 cent per hour of work and that didn't even include the price
of the fiber.
I also used to go to pick up some crafting ideas. I would always pick out
some Christmas ornament to use as a model for my yearly handmade ornament.

Your story is typical - my rule is never under any circumstances do a craft
show in a school, church, or fire hall. This is what you can expect at every
one of those places. Speaking from experiencs of 10 years and averaged about
25 shows per year - it never gets better when you do a church, firehall, or
school. they are the worst possible places to try to see anything nice. Most
people are there for the food and to fellowship with each other, I found..
I hope your next show is much much better - Lynda
