[Nfb-krafters-korner] OT: Measuring liquids

When I want to measure olive oil I put it in a flat container in the refrigerator and it solidifies a bit and is easy to measure by spoonfuls. It is also cold so you can feel the liquid go into a cup. Anyone willing to keep their laundry soap in the refrigerator?

I think a full cap of laundry soap is way more then the amount necessary for a load of wash. I usually use a smaller cup. I think that as nice as liquid laundry soap is, it is a big waste. I do much better with powdered soap.

The oil in the refrigerator came from my "eight Minutes in the Morning" book from nls They suggested putting garlic in the oil and using it instead of butter.

You might also try a heavy piece of plastic secured with a rubber band. I'm thinking a piece of plastic tablecloth over the top of the bottle with a rubber band around it keeping it on.
