[Nfb-krafters-korner] Nifty Knitters and other misc crafting questions

Hi,

So, I was reading that many like the nifty Knitters, so when hubby went to
the store today I asked him to look at them. I was pleasantly surprised at
the prices!

Here are my questions:

1. They have a few kinds, and one of them is a scarf one that works
well for rectangle or square projects. They also had a circle set with
different sizes of circles, and a spindle one that I'm assuming would be
used for sleeves for shirts or legs for pants? Which one should I start
with? I'm assuming probably the scarf one, because I'm thinking squares and
rectangles would be easier to get used to first rather than circles?

2. Should I even be looking at loom knitting to begin? Or, should I
try my hand at needle knitting first?

Also, I signed up for my first class and I'm excited! I'll be doing the
class on making the safety pin bead snowman.

I think soap making, plastic canvas, loom knitting, safety pin/bead making,
origami and bead/wire jewlry making might be fun to explore. I know, we
should start small, but it's fun to explore and see what fits me the best.
For those of you who do origami, do you sell your origami crafts? Or, are
they just for fun/gifts?

Can any of you recommend good descriptive books you've found on BARD,
Bookshare, ETC for any crafts?

Thanks again for all of your help and the warm welcome I've received! I
really appreciate the great advice I've received thus far, and I look
forward to learning more from you and some day contributing ideas as well!

In Christ, Miranda
